KNIT VOYAGE 2017
As the cooperation partner of Knitwear Innovation and Design Society (KIDS),
MATCH SHOWROOM invited the CEOs and designers of our signed designer labels
to come and join the KNIT VOYAGE this year.
Carol Chyau from the USA, who is the co-founder and CEO of SHOKAY;
Andreas Jank, the German CEO from Finnish brand Marita Huurinainen
and Janna Parkkila, the designer of Marimekko,
which is an internationally-recognised Finnish design house,
are going to share their experiences and knowledge of knitwear fashion
with the students of fashion institutes in Hong Kong.

About Knit Voyage
Knitting is a very specific skill being used widely in the international fashion industry.
Hong Kong has been famous for this technique for decades.
Knitting involves innovation and craftsmanship and is a specialised subject in fashion education.
Organised by Knitwear Innovation and Design Society and funded by CreateHK,
“Knit Voyage” is a project aims to provide a free platform for young designers to gain exposure
and manufacturing support and at the same time promote avant-garde knitwear design
and manufacturing skills to the fashion sector and general public.
針織在現今國際時裝業界中被廣泛使用,香港過去數十年亦憑藉這種技術聞名於世。
作為一門集結創新與工藝於一身的技術,針織亦已成為時裝設計教育中一門專業的課程。
由毛織創新及設計協會主辦、CreateHK資助的「Knit Voyage」,
旨在為年輕設計師提供一個免費平台,讓他們可增加曝光率,
令更多人認識他們製作的作品之餘,同時將更多新穎前衛的針織設計品和製作技術,
一一呈現公眾眼前。
