By December, Sweden has very few hours of daylight. The first Sunday of Advent comes as an eagerly awaited sign that Christmas is approaching. Time to light the candles, heat up the mulled wine known as "glögg" and get into a warm Christmas mood of the snowy winter!

十二月的瑞典，晝短夜長。第一個星期就瀰漫著聖誕氣息。點燃蠟燭，加熱 "glögg" 葡萄酒，室外冬雪飄然，漸漸步入一個溫馨的聖誕氣氛。

親臨瑞典聖誕

Sweden is a place that values cultural festivities, and values the importance of bringing joy and unity to families and children. Here, we were introduced to the Swedish traditions with the team from consulate general of Sweden, and got to experience the most authentic Swedish Christmas.

瑞典尤為注重傳統文化活動，可以促進家庭和孩子的歡樂和團結。在這裡，瑞典總領事的團隊給我們描述了很多瑞典有趣習俗，並親身體驗了瑞典的聖誕節。

The four candles is a very symbolic sign for the approaching Christmas.

Each Sunday until Christmas, a candle is lit -

until all four candles are alight throughout the month.

It is especially exciting because children’s expectations grow with every candle.

桌面擺佈的四支蠟燭寓意著聖誕節的到來，

十二月的每個星期天都會點燃一根蠟燭。

看著就令人興奮，四根蠟燭燃點著孩子們的期望，

每點燃一根，聖誕節就愈加接近。

On the first Sunday of Advent,

many Swedes get together to drink glögg,

which is a hot, spicy mulled wine with almonds and raisins.

在第一個星期日，

瑞典人會聚集在一起，

品嘗著伴有杏仁和葡萄乾的地道 glögg 葡萄酒，

味道較為獨特，帶有辛辣，味蕾前所未有的刺激。

With the delightful scents of gingerbread, it rings that time of the year again - christmas! Baking gingerbread cookies played a big part in the Swedish christmas festivites.

薑餅曲奇是瑞典聖誕節不可或缺的部分，

薑餅香氣就像聖誕節獨有的氣味，

瑞典人聞到這熟悉的氣味，

對聖誕的念頭就油然而生。

Here, the Consul General of Sweden in the photo above teaches us how to make them -

it was super simple and easy!

First, roll the dough flat, and pick your favorite cookie-cutter into any iconic Christmas shapes!

由圖可見，瑞典總領事運用嫻熟的手藝為我們演示了製作過程，製作簡單易上手。

首先，用滾棒擀平麵團，再把曲奇刀按壓麵團，薑餅模型就此成型。

we don't realize and almost forget how beautiful the cold winter can be.

It brings us back to our festive memories from childhood

and the thoughts of our family and friends.

It is also a time where everyone gets together again - a season of love and unity.

在奔波勞碌的生活環境，我們忘了生活初衷，

不接受當下，一直奔跑追溯著未來僮景。

有時，我們要懂得停下來冥想一下，

享受現在，和家人聚一起，

在寒冷冬季享受溫馨團結氛圍。

We are beyond grateful to be able to work with the Consulate General of Sweden to celebrate and uplift the very local traditions, creative works, and activities the country has so deeply engraved in their historic roots.
